We pride ourselves on excellent service to families and au pairs, and we understand how daunting it can be for a family to register their au pair for PAYE and UIF and to apply the government's policies with regard to leave. Below are the basic Guides (source: www.labour.gov.za) to assist you. An au pair employed by a family must be registered for PAYE and UIF if he or she falls within the tax threshold, and only for UIF if he or she is not required to pay PAYE. These are the government's guidelines to the basic conditions of employment, leave and UIF.
